About Open Access

Open access (OA) is a mechanism by which research outputs are distributed online, free of cost or other barriers, and in its most precise meaning, with the addition of an open license that removes most restrictions on use and reuse. (cited from Wikipedia)
The common types of open access are Gold Open Access, Green Open Access and Hybrid Open Access.

Gold Open Access

Gold open access articles are free and permanently open to everyone immediately after publication. The copyright of the article belongs to the author. In such publications, articles are authorized to be shared and reused via Creative Commons Licenses or similar. We can provide gold open access services because the article publishing charge (APC) that authors, their institutions or funding bodies pay, covers all expenses needed to support the publication process.

Green Open Access

Green open access is also known as self-archiving. It refers to the traditional subscription-type journals that transfer the received author's manuscript to a central open access repository or website while publishing the author's article. Different journals have specific terms and requirements for individual self-archiving policies. For example, an author's self-archiving is limited to a particular version of an article, when the article was uploaded to the repository, and so on.

Hybrid Open Access

Hybrid open access allows the author to choose whether or not to publish their articles as open access journals. In this method, open access is only provided for those individual articles for which the authors pay a publication fee. Non-open access articles require a subscription fee.
