This article explores the theoretical basis, current situation, influencing factors, and optimization strategies of construction project schedule management from the perspective of Party A. Firstly, the definition, connotation, objectives, and principles of construction project schedule management were elaborated, and the current research status at home and abroad was summarized. Secondly, the main work content, challenges and problems faced by Party A in progress management, as well as common misconceptions and improvement directions were analyzed. Subsequently, the impact of factors such as technology, resources, management, and environment on the progress of construction projects was discussed. On this basis, optimization strategies such as developing a scientifically reasonable schedule, strengthening schedule control and supervision, optimizing resource allocation and utilization, enhancing project management team capabilities, and introducing advanced technologies and tools were proposed. Finally, the implementation and guarantee of the optimization strategy for construction project progress were elaborated, and an evaluation index system was constructed to assess the effectiveness of the optimization strategy.
