After earning my engineering degree, I embarked on a two-year professional journey in technical design offices and construction companies. My PhD marked an exceptional phase where I specialized in emerging technological and managerial trends to address the AEC industry's challenges and weaknesses. My research has focused on the synergy between BIM and Lean Construction, aiming to enhance construction management, quality, and sustainability. This work has led to the publication of 16 indexed contributions, including one Q1 and four Q2 articles, with three additional Q1 papers accepted for publication. I've had the privilege of presenting at several prestigious international conferences and will be participating in the renowned Construction Research Conference of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the oldest professional organization in the US construction sector. Throughout my research career, I've established productive collaborations both nationally and internationally, working with researchers from Africa, the USA, and Asia. Rawan Al-Nsour is an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Mechatronics since 2018, previously serving as a lecturer in the same department and as adjunct faculty in the Pre-Engineering department from 2015 to 2017. Holding a PhD in Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2015, Rawan brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She has undergone training in industry, enhancing her practical knowledge and skills. Rawan's research interests include industrial robotics, industrial controls, curriculum development, and innovative teaching pedagogy. She actively mentors students on capstone projects, guiding them to success. Rawan has published her work in various journals and conferences. She also provides valuable service at the department, college, and university levels, contributing to the academic community. Additionally, Rawan is committed to community engagement initiatives, further enhancing her impact.
Chakkrit Luangcharoenrat is a seasoned professional in the field of architecture and sustainable design. He currently serves as a Studio Director and Senior Associate at Gensler's Bangkok office. With over 20 years of experience, Chakkrit has a deep passion for sustainable design, working closely with end users to create spaces that positively impact their lives and work environments.He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Ph.D., MBA, and MSc. in Construction Management, and is a certified DGNB consultant and registered Architect. Chakkrit is also affiliated with Kasetsart University's Faculty of Architecture in Bangkok, where he contributes to research on construction waste management and sustainability.Chakkrit's work has been widely recognized, and he has authored numerous publications on construction waste generation and sustainable building practices. His commitment to innovation and excellence continues to drive his contributions to the architecture and design industry.
Xilei Lu, Professor level Senior Engineer, National Registered First Class Constructor, Master's Supervisor. I have been working in the construction industry for a long time and have rich experience as a technician, administrator, and coach. I currently teach at the School of Civil Engineering at Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences and hold multiple academic part-time positions.
Hanshan Ding is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Southeast University. Main research directions: civil engineering, bridge engineering, foundation engineering, and engineering mechanics. From September 2003 to October 2005, he was a visiting professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Kentucky in the United States.
