Editor-in-Chief

University of Burgos, Spain

Delfín Ortega-Sánchez is a Full Professor at the University of Burgos. He holds a Ph.D. in Didactics of History and Social Sciences (Autonomous University of Barcelona), a Ph.D. in Education (University of Burgos), and a Ph.D. in History (University of Extremadura). His research focuses on Education for Democratic Citizenship, the teaching of social problems and controversial issues, teacher education in social studies and literary education, the didactics of children’s literature and reading promotion across early childhood, primary and secondary education, the integration of emerging technologies in educational contexts, and educational research methods. These lines of inquiry articulate the work of the Recognized Research Group DHISO, as well as the Consolidated Research Unit 285 – Integrated Teaching and Transdisciplinarity, both directed by Prof. Ortega-Sánchez. His research trajectory has received international recognition, including his nomination as one of the Top 10 social science researchers worldwide in the USERN Prize 2022, and the First Prize in Transformative Education Research 2025 awarded by the Global Citizenship Foundation, in partnership with UNESCO MGIEP, in recognition of his contributions to education for democratic citizenship.

Bulacan State University, Philippines

Dr. Camille L. Espino is a faculty member at Bulacan State University, specializing in science education, interdisciplinary research, and community-oriented academic initiatives. She holds a strong background in teaching and curriculum development, with particular interests in STEM education, culturally relevant pedagogy, and innovative instructional strategies. Her scholarly work includes bibliometric and empirical studies on emerging themes such as generative artificial intelligence in education, mobile and technology-enhanced learning, equity and contextualization in STEM, and learner-centered pedagogies. 

Dr. Espino is actively engaged in research collaborations that bridge science education with entrepreneurship, policy, and sustainability, contributing to both national and international academic publications. Beyond research, she is deeply involved in extension and community-based programs that promote livelihood development, science literacy, and inclusive education, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

 As an educator, she is committed to evidence-based teaching, outcome-based education, and the integration of research into classroom practice. Her work reflects a strong advocacy for innovation, accessibility, and social relevance in higher education.


Njala University, Sierra Leone

Emmanuel Dumbuya, MPhil, is a Teacher, Curriculum Development Scholar, African Higher Education Specialist, Author, Evidence-Informed Policy Thinker
with research and professional interests spanning curriculum reform, higher education systems, student completion, and education policy in low- and middle-income contexts. He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Education (Curriculum Development) from Njala University, Sierra Leone.

His scholarship interrogates how curriculum, institutional processes, and policy frameworks shape educational experiences and outcomes, particularly within public universities in Africa. He is especially interested in issues of academic transition, graduation and completion dynamics, educational equity, and the translation of research evidence into policy-relevant insights for decision-makers.

Emmanuel’s work bridges theory, practice, and policy, combining rigorous evidence synthesis with contextual understanding of African education systems. He has contributed to scholarly and practitioner-oriented platforms and is actively engaged in academic service, including peer review and editorial work. His broader intellectual agenda focuses on strengthening evidence use in education decision-making and advancing humane, context-responsive reforms in higher education.


Sinop University, Turkey

Gurol Yokus held his B.A. in Foreign Language Education from Bogazici University, and obtained M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction from Mersin University. Since 2021, he has served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Sinop University, Turkey. Dr. Yokus is the author or co-author of more than 50 papers in international refereed journals and book chapters, as well as over 30 conference contributions. He has delivered numerous invited and plenary talks at national conferences. His research interests encompass curriculum development, sustainable teacher education, instructional design, mobile learning, school leadership, and higher education studies. His current work focuses on 21st-century thinking skills and developing original, theory-based solutions to challenges in teacher education and curriculum instruction.

Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri, Nigeria

Eke Eke Ogbu is a lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology at Alvan Ikoku University of Education, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. He obtained his PhD in Curriculum Studies and Instruction from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, in 2018. Dr. Eke is a prolific scholar with numerous publications in various journals and books to his credit. His research interests span across curriculum studies, teacher education, educational technology, and peace-building concepts. Dr. Eke has presented papers at a multitude of national and international conferences, contributing significantly to the discourse in his field. He is actively involved in several learned societies, including the Curriculum Organization of Nigeria (CON), World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI) Nigeria Chapter, Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria, Gender Studies Association of Nigeria, and Educational Assessment & Research Network in Africa. Additionally, he holds professional memberships in online academic communities such as Academia, ResearchGate, and LinkedIn. His current research focuses on integrating modern technologies and innovative pedagogies into the educational curriculum for sustainable development. Dr. Eke is also a volunteer member of the International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE). Beyond his professional engagements, he has interests in educational data analysis, research methodology, measurement and evaluation, adult education, and mentoring. In his leisure time, Dr. Eke enjoys reading and surfing the internet.

University of Technology and Applied Sciences(UTAS), Sultanate of Oman

Dr. Qasim Abdullah Hassan Al Ajmi is a Head of Research and Consultations, and a Senior Lecturer of Information Systems at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Muscat, with over a decade of post-Ph.D. He has taught more than 40 courses across postgraduate and undergraduate levels, including advanced topics in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, and Educational Technology. His teaching portfolio spans program coordination, curriculum development, and innovative technology integration in learning environments.

Dr. Qasim is an accomplished researcher with 50+ publications, including journal articles, chapters, and conference papers indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. His research interests center on cloud-based e-learning adoption, artificial intelligence in education, and digital transformation. He has supervised 4 Ph.D. dissertations and 10 master’s theses, served as an external reviewer for numerous academic institutions, and contributed to funded research projects on AI ethics, digital citizenship, and educational technology. His scholarly impact is reflected in 509 citations on Google Scholar, and he actively participates as a reviewer and editorial board member for international journals and conferences.


University of Batangas, Philippines

Romell A. Ramos is the Director of the Research and Publications Office and an Associate Professor IV at the University of Batangas, Philippines. He holds a PhD in Education (2013) and a Master of Science in Mathematics (2010) degrees, both from the University of Batangas. Dr. Ramos is the Editor-in-Chief of the Kalinangan Refereed Journal, the University of Batangas’ official publication, and serves as an Associate Editor and reviewers for numerous national and international peer-reviewed journals. His research has been published in several journals indexed by Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar among others. He is a member of various professional organizations including the National Research Council of the Philippines, the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators, the Mathematical Society of the Philippines.  His research interests include educational technology, local knowledge, structural equation modelling, mathematics and mathematics education, sustainability, and lifelong learning.
