    The evolution of personality psychology theory has traversed a comprehensive journey, beginning with ancient humoral theory, and advancing towards the nuanced, multidimensional frameworks of contemporary psychology. Gordon Allport laid foundational groundwork by de¿ning personality and proposing various classi¿cations, paving the way for the bifurcation into trait classi¿cations and type theories. This article delves into the development of these dominant perspectives and highlights the pivotal role of the Five-Factor Model and Carl Jung’s psychological type theory in enhancing our comprehension of individual differences and their underlying psychodynamics. Further, it scrutinizes the challenges confronting personality research,such as cultural disparities and trait stability. It underscores the necessity for future inquiries to probe into the biological underpinnings of personality traits and their implications on behavior, emotions, and mental health.This exploration aims to underscore the signi¿cance and diversity of personality theories in elucidating human behavior and psychological processes.

  • English Reading Strategies under Core Literacy

    With the development of the times, the teaching community is constantly reforming and upgrading relevant teaching policies and educational concepts. Currently, there is a requirement to focus on cultivating students’ core literacy as a key part of teaching, emphasizing the promotion of students’ comprehensive development. In middle school English teaching activities, the main content and emphasis are on reading instruction. English discourse reading can enhance students’ English language skills and cultivate their ability to apply knowledge in different contexts. However, there are still shortcomings in current middle school English teaching. Some teachers use a single teaching method, leaving students in a passive learning state. Additionally,these teachers are inÀ uenced by traditional teaching philosophies, placing more emphasis on students’ grades and overlooking the learning process. This leads to less-than-ideal middle school English reading instruction,and students’ reading effectiveness cannot be improved. Therefore, English teachers should innovate teaching methods and optimize reading strategies under the guidance of core literacy concepts.

  • Reform of the International Curriculum in Chinese “Non-Traditional” International Schools in the Context of Globalization

    As globalization continues to evolve, the phenomenon of internationalization in education has become an objective situation and a common international occurrence. Particularly in China, with the rise of the economy as a superpower, there has been a series of developments in the internationalization of education. Despite the number of international schools in China increasing from 22 in 2000 to 959 in 2019, serving 400,000 students, the rapid expansion of international schools in China has brought challenges. These “non-traditional” international schools strive to construct an international curriculum system that is “characteristically Chinese”, “high-quality”, and “diverse”. However, they face many challenges, including the lack of integration of Chinese and foreign curricula and the absence of standardized international school management. Therefore, this study aims to delve into the opportunities and challenges faced by these “non-traditional” international schools in building a Chinese-characteristic international curriculum system, through a comprehensive review of relevant domestic and international literature, providing a more detailed direction for future research.
